Please note that the provision of personal data is voluntary but failure to provide such data may result in the delay or suspension of processing your application and/or prevent the Intellectual Property Department (IPD) to further communicate with you using the contact information stated in Part I above. IPD is committed to ensuring that all personal data provided under this application are handled in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.

Purpose of Collection: The personal data provided will be used for processing your application and if accepted, future correspondence in relation to promotional activities for IP protection and/or IP trading whether organised by IPD solely or in conjunction with any third parties.

Transfer of Personal Data: The personal data collected will be kept in confidence, however, they may be disclosed to other Government departments, organisations and service contractors that are directly involved in the promotion of such activities for the purposes of collection above mentioned.

Access to/Correction of Personal Data: In accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you have the right to request access to and correct the personal data provided. Requests should be made in writing to the Personal Data (Privacy) Officer of the IPD.
