Ms. Theresa Luk
Theresa is an IP Partner at Deacons. She is qualified in Hong Kong and is a Council Member of The Licensing Executives Society, China – Hong Kong sub-chapter, as well as a working committee member of Intellectual Property Rights Protection Alliance. Theresa is one of the few lawyers in Hong Kong specialising in patent litigation. Her broad practice also covers IP protection and enforcement in the areas of trade mark, patents, registered designs, passing off, copyright, trade secrets and confidential information, company names and domain names, as well as IP commercial and local law compliance matters.

Ms. Patsy Lau
Patsy is an IP Partner at Deacons. She is dual-qualified in Hong Kong and California. Patsy is a council member and was the President of the Hong Kong Institute of Trade Mark Practitioners from 2009 to 2011. Patsy specialises in the protection of international and regional trade mark portfolios of well-known brands in finance, telecommunications, consumer products, luxury goods, and pharmaceuticals. She has extensive experience in conducting trade mark audits and in advising on brand management. Her practice also includes advising on commercial transactions, and complex trade mark disputes and negotiations.

Mr. Jeffrey McLean
Jeff is an IP Partner and the Head of Patents & Design practice group at Deacons. He is dual-qualified in Hong Kong and Australia (Queensland and New South Wales), as well as a Registered Trans-Tasman Patent Attorney and Registered Australian Trade Mark Attorney. Jeff’s broad practice includes patent drafting and strategic advice on filing and prosecution strategies and general patent portfolio and renewals management. He also provides litigation support and strategic advice for numerous patent and design infringement cases, and routinely provides freedom-to-operate advice, including for listing purposes.
