Please note that IP204 is only provided for applicants who have completed "IP 101: IP Basics" (or IP Manager Training Programme). Please provide course code/name and year of the completed course(s) in the following field.

Nature of Business Statement:
My enterprise does not provide IP intermediary services.

Remarks:
An IP intermediary generally refers to a party or platform that offers and provides one or more intermediary services for an arrangement, activity, task, negotiation, transaction or proceedings which involves addressing and/or resolving an IP issue, such as IP registration, IP arbitration and mediation, IP matching services, IP legal services, IP valuation etc.

Requirements:

  1. In-house “IP Manager” or staff members in managerial position of enterprises which have participated in the “IP Manager Scheme”.
  2. This workshop only accepts non-IP intermediaries*. Applications from enterprises which are law firms or providing IP intermediary services will not be accepted.
  3. Recommend participants to be equipped with basic IP knowledge or have completed the “IP Manager Training Programme”.

Please note that the provision of personal data is voluntary but failure to provide such data may result in the delay or suspension of processing your application for registration and/or prevent the Intellectual Property Department (IPD) to further communicate with you using the contact information stated above. IPD is committed to ensuring that all personal data provided under this application are handled in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.

Purpose of Collection: The personal data provided will be used for processing your application and if registered, future correspondence in relation to promotional activities for IP protection and/or IP trading whether organised by IPD solely or in conjunction with any third parties.

Transfer of Personal Data: The personal data collected will be kept in confidence, however, they may be disclosed to other Government departments, organisations and service contractors that are directly involved in the promotion of such activities for the purposes of collection above mentioned.

Access to/Correction of Personal Data: In accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you have the right to request access to and correct the personal data provided. Requests should be made in writing to the Personal Data (Privacy) Officer of the IPD.
